Vocal Room Ceiling Height

I'm converting an old wooden room that is attached to my house for recording. So far I've got a duvet behind the singer and a reflection filter around the mic, but the thing that concerns me is the height of the ceiling and how detrimental it will be. The ceiling is low! Not low enough that I hit my head but low enough that it touches by reflection filter (say 6ft 5 approx). Also it is a shiny wooden surface. I have a feeling it is reflecting down into my mic as the recording doesn't have enough bass to my ears.

I was thinking of adding some 2-3 inch rockwool panels on the walls, but would a 2inch rockwool panel inside a pillow case stuck to the ceiling do much to help?

Many thanks in advance :D
