Pretty dark death metal - very deep growls. Cool riffs. Not horrible, but pretty repetitive. I could see digging this live under the influence - not really something I'd grab in the home or car though.
Isn't that the name of a dragon from Middle Earth?
In the fiction of J. R. R. Tolkien, Helcaraxë, Helcaracsë or the Grinding Ice was an icy waste between the lands of Aman and Middle-earth. Its exact nature is left a little unclear, but it seems to have been broken and shifting pack ice covering the northernmost parts of the Great Sea Belegaer.
Good description J. I've been listening to this a ton lately. Easily a top pick for the year. It's actually my #1 DM for the year so far. This is like an evil, dark version of Amon Amarth.
