hey guys, i'm 18 and just found this board it's great! lol im ashamed to say it but i got into metal by listening to slipknot and korn, don't worry though i don't listen to that crap anymore =p

favorite bands now are

Amon amarth, Dark Tranquility, Insomnnium, opeth.

I can listen to stuff like slayer, rammstein, Megadeth and enjoy it but, Melodic/Gothenburg is what i mainly listen to. =)

I know many metalheads who got into the real deal after listening to more crappy things,so I guess its natural.

My self got into metal after seeing a video of Ozzy on tv so, I consider myself lucky.

I got into metal by Marilyn Manson, then got into KoRn and Slipknot. Pft I am so weird but yea welcome to the forums. You still rock if ya ask me.
