My name is Jason and I am a 25-year metal lover. I cut my teeth on Ride the Lightning, Piece of Mind, and Shout at the Devil 25 years ago. I have also let me tastes evolve and am a huge fan of modern metal as well. Some of my favorites right now are: In This Moment, Amaranthe, Unleash the Archers, Sister Sin, FFDP, Valora, Delain, Eowyn, Eyes Set to Kill, Kill Switch Engage, Bullet for my Valentine, Dragonforce and more.
One of the best parts of modern metal, in my opinion, is the increase in female vocalists. I love the female voice, always have, and to have so much of it in metal thrills me greatly.
I am also an internet DJ on Codebass radio (http://cbrtune.in). I play a metal show called The Guilty Robot Broadcast every Thursday (today included) from 1PM ET till whenever I feel like stopping. I'd love to get feedback on the show from anyone that would care to listen. I also hang out on Twitter (http://twitter.com/jasonpdean) during the show and am usually able to take requests, but I also just love interacting with those who are listening.
Lately I have been playing a lot of stuff from ProgPowerUSA bands, but I mix it up a lot and play things from many eras of the genre.
