Help Epiphone SG capacitor question.

So I have this old G400 sitting around. It's in pretty beat condition but with my new found hookup I have decided to get it back up to snuff.

However the wireing is totally fucked. Potentiometers are shit so I plan to totally overhaul the electronics.

here are the questions:

I am putting 57 classics in it.
Machine heads are already replaced (done 3 years ago)
New wireing and shielding
The previous owner put a tune o matic bridge in it


Ok so here are the questions:
500k potentiometers whats the dif between these and lower ones?
What capacitors do I need for the tone knobs?

Thats it guys thanks, what would be great is if someone with a gibson SG standard could pop of the back plate and tell me what capacitors are used as well as pots.

500k pots for individually controlled hbs and 0.047 microfarad and 0.02 mfd capacitors for neck and bridge respectively. you can find this on the internet.
