Don't get that Falkenbach CD, it's very boring and monotonous.

This Falkenbach CD sounds polished as fuck and turns up being a set of very predictable songs after very few spins.

THE FUGGIN TRUTH! I was so impressed by that cd the first couple of times I heard it, it was sad when I started to realise that despite the smooth, catchy sound, there wasn't much going on.

Yah, and it's coming

I'm really thankful for all this help, though I will probably ignore the majority re: Falkenbach (I KNOW it's good, but there might be other stuff I want more -- and really, there's not much new in that album when I already have "...Magni...") and get possibly Sun of the Sleepless instead...

I do too like Skyforger. Not that much though. It hurts me to have to leave out Scald for now but I'll get it eventually. Same with Dolorian...

The final list will probably be:

Thorr's Hammer "Dommedagsnatt"
Saint Vitus "V"
Nokturnal Mortum "Twilightfall"
Sun of the Sleepless/Nachtmahr split
Temnozor' "Horizons"

...plus I will order the new Evoken. This is all from THR btw, so that's why I can't really include some of the other stuff you guys have suggested. He had a lot of Lunar Aurora albums but I thought I'd pick one of the ones that I hadn't heard already (everything except Zyklus)

THX

Well, there's no rush on Scald since you already have a CD-R. It's not like you're going without.

I'd love to hear the Sun of the Sleepless split....have you heard it already? Is the material similar to what's on Poems to the Wretches Hearts?

It sounds a bit like "Poems to the Wretches Hearts" played on a velvet couch in a cosy living-room by the fireplace... and it's not meant to say it's overdone, just... different, and 'different' as in 'really good'. I'm not too fond of the trip-hop remixes though, but they do not damage the flow of the cd at all.
