TRS are for keyboards and rack fx

Have you considered Monoprice cables? Very decent quality and about 1/5th the price.
I use them and Brian Kozicki does. Seriously, they're great.

I loooooove Monoprice for cables. I've used their cables for years, but just recently bought some 1/4" T/S instrument cables...And they are VERY noisy. If I pick them up and move them at rehearsal (plugged into my guitar and amp), they emit a LOT of noise.

Their XLR and other audio cables don't do this, but the TS instrument cables do. I was kinda bummed.

damn, that sucks dude. I got their optical cables and XLR to TRS for my monitors but no TS cables. I plan on redoing my rack all with 3ft TRS from them.
You can't build cables for that cheap (especially if you value your spare time), that's why I love Monoprice.

Bad ground connection, the braided shield is loose. Same problem most of my planet waves cables had.

Same problem can happen if you build your own.
