Help needed! Thrash/oldschool metal

I am mixing an EP for a young thrash metal band and I'm not an oldschool metal fan myself so any feedback and tips would be appreciated! After listening to many thrash metal bands I found 2 main approaches. They are either detailed and controlled , or very raw and overcompressed(this is the one I'm going for cause the performance is not very tight). My main question is does this mix makes you want to mosh? Also what about reverb in this genre?

Can't say much since the guitars aren't tight at all. I think mix-wise it sounds a bit "closed", make every instrument a bit more brighter
