So I had this idea to upload a sample of my drum recording that you guys could give me pointers on. It would be great to see what (if anything) sounds good or 'right' and what needs work and some tips on making it better. I've never got to really see what other peoples' raw drum tracks look and sound like, so I don't know if I'm on the right track or not. I'm just getting the best sound I can with what I have and what little I know.

I know most would like to know what gear I'm using, but I would like to get some opinions before I reveal the gear just for fun. The sample is about 30 seconds of single hits, then 30 seconds of some terrible drumming (I apologize) so that you can get an idea of that as well. Oh, and theres a little clipping as I had a few preamps slightly too high.

The raw tracks are:
Kick
Snare Top
Snare Bottom
Tom 1
Tom 2
Tom 3
Overheads

Miced from the audience perspective.

Thank you to anyone who reads/listens!

ght it sounded ok man i was expecting it to sound awefull
can you try it in a mix and post a clip ?
but yeah i couldnt hear anything terribly wrong here
im a big fan of drumagog maybe blend some .gog snare and kicks in with
the org snare and kick.

post some clips on a mix man

I normally drumagog the kick because I can't get my kick to work in the mix at all. The Toms also don't fair to well in a mix.

What about the overheads is funky?

Here's a quick mix of a recording. A friend and I were jamming, he came up with a simple riff. I hit record while attempting to play drums. Since Reneisgod asked for a clip, I went ahead and put some bass and a 2nd guitar down and proceeded to attempt a mix.

I avoided drumagog (although it sounded much better for kick) and didn't do any sort of mastering on the clip.

Any help from anyone is much appreciated!
