Help with Pro Tools 9

Hey guys - I am having some issues with Pro Tools. I am running version 9.0.0 on my Intel Macbook Pro (13", OSX 10.6.6, 4GB RAM, 2.26Ghz) When I load Pro Tools, the splash screen will load the plugs, and get to the "DAE Loaded" part, and it freezes and eventually crashes. It is really annoying, and I am unsure what exactly is causing this. It has been working previously, and I've tried clicking on a Pro Tools session file and trying to open it that way, no luck...

I've followed through with tutorials on how to optimize my computer for Pro Tools (Disabling network connections, Bluetooth, screensavers, etc.) still with no luck.

Anyone else having a similar problem? Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance.

Trash preferences, repair permissions and if it doesn't help, try installing the 9.0.1 update.

And get the latest drivers for you hardware when you're at it

ProTools 9 is not yet qualified to work with 10.6.6. So let's hope those guys at Avid won t take their usual long time to update it
