HELP!

This is my first year of getting stuck into production. I'm aware that the snare fucking sucks but I'm only just getting used to the eqing system on protools. I'm posting this in hopes of any tips, eqing tips (guitars, drums, everything), help, constructive criticism, pretty much anything that can help me become better at producing music from people with similar taste. Also, if anyone could give any suggestions on good bass simulation software since pod farm sucks ass with bass. Also, I haven't mastered this at all because... I don't know how to. Help with that would be much appreciated as well. Thank you!

My main problem is getting the mids to stand out and ACTUALLY sound good.

i think you need to ease off on the HP filter on the cymbals, its making the high end sound really thin.

sounds sweet though dude reminds me loads of the color morale

Thanks man. I shall do that now. I never got around to limiting my guitars or bass.

Haha, I went into recording this say 'Let's make this a bit TCM'. The annoying thing is that there are no HPs on the cymbals. I boosted the fuck out of all of them.

Cymbals are a pain. I have sturgis cymbals and I still manage to make them sound like shit but for bass amps try TSE BOD which is a bass overdrive. And acmebargig Big for the amp. It kicks ass. You need impulses or some other form of cab modelling for this though.
