Here I go again...

Congrats! I wish you the best! The way you proposed was a great I idea! I'm a bass player too, so I might remember that for the future. Although I'll probably do myself a favor and have someone who is a good singer do the vocals. :p

Thanks to all for your kind words....and advice. Looking forward to a great life together. Unfortunately, you will probably not meet her as she does not frequent too many of the metal shows I go to. She's more of a Celine Dion fan, but she enjoys going to seeing my bands play. But there is no way she would be able to tolerate 3 nights of ProgPower...:)

She can hang in the lobby with us :) There's always someone out there.

Congrats!

Have you set a date yet? Congrats! My wife and I got married this past New year's Eve. THis is the 2nd marriage for both of us as well.

No dates set yet. She has a daughter that will be graduating HS next June and then going off to college next September so we definitely are not going to steal her thunder from those events. We will probably wait until later in the fall 2007 (after ProgPower) or spring 2008.

I can only tell you that no matter how bad you perceive your vocals are, your lady will definitely appreciate you doing the singing, especially if you're going to include the actual proposal as I did. It's that much more personal and really should come from you, and she will love it. Remember that this is all about thw two of you....nobody else needs to hear it. If you decide to record it for posterity later, then perhaps you can use somebody else's vocals. :)
