Hey, i have a question.

Im a progressive metal fan all they way, enjoy playing it even more, but love other styles of music jsut as much ranging from melodic death metal, metalcore, to as far as smooth jazz. Im trying to start a band im my area and am currently hosting auditions. should i expect a player to be able to show all the directions i want to go in or should i let the music we right direct our direction?

I play Technical Death metal but Im not above learning some stuff by Guthrie Govan or learning Flamenco Guitar.
