I have never understood how Deicide can make a living...I mean doesn't there have to be at least a shred of musicality at some point? Do people buy this just because Glen Benton has a cross burnt into his forehead? I used to live in Tampa when they were first breaking out and I saw them live a few times, but never heard a "song". I even sold my Rockman (remember those?) to Glenn and I couldn't get out of that house fast enough!

I'm not a huge fan, but my boyfriend's band is opening up for them when they play in Kans-ass this November. So I'll go. Plus a death metal show in Topeka is kinda rare.

I think it's a good record. Owen and Santalla (sp?) really add a good dimension to the sound. Lyrically and conceptually stagnant, but the music is damn fine, IMO.

This post gave me the idea to try out Deicide...

...well...

...not bad!

Not what I would usually listen to but when I'm in the "rip someones face off mood" this is most excellent.
