I think your problem is lack of creativity and imagination. Why would you prefer vocals you can actually understand? The song gets boring really quick that way. On the other hand think of the possibilites with brutal low gurgly vocals. There are just so many things you can do. If you're patient you can try listening to the song 50 times, write down what you think the lyrics are and then open up the booklet and compare. For every word you got right you drink a shot.
