Hey,

Give me a call or drop me a pm when you get a free minute. I may be going off to training sooner rather than later. I need to know if your are interested in taking custody of one or more of my coin-ops. I don't know how much room you guys have in your new place, but I can pay for NAVL to ship them to you. Once I get settled, I can have them shipped back to my permanent residence. I'm almost done restoring a Galaga and a Crystal Castles cocktail. The Double Dragon needs a new home too, but I'm sure someone may be interested in taking at least one of these here in New England.

Here's some pics of the Galaga restoration:

This is the CC cocktail. I just rebuilt the monitor and I have to take care of all the cosmetic shit next.

hey man, if you want to store them here and are willing to pay, then we can take whatever you need - we have plenty of room. whats it cost to ship those things?

the pics look nice. how long did it take you to restore those?

I've been working on the Galaga for a month now. The wiring in the cab was a mess. Somebody did a half-assed power supply upgrade, so I had to basically re-wire the whole thing. All of the artwork needed to be replaced too. I spent a few hours peeling the shit off with a heat gun, last weekend. Last night, I had to pull all the socketed chips out of the board and clean the legs with a wire brush. That was a pain in the ass. I rebuilt the Crystal Castles monitor a week ago. All of the capacitors and most of the transistors were junk. I was going to sell these, but I changed my mind. I'll never find another Galaga for a reasonable price, and the Crystal Castles cocktail is a rare piece (Atari only made 500 of them).

Anyway, I'd rather send these things off to live with somebody while I'm gone. Keeping these things runing is actually the best thing to do. Games don't do well in cold storage.
