Ashlee missed her lip-sync cue so she started doing some "ho-down" dance (see Alex's gif) and walked off stage, leaving the band to play by themselves. Then at the end of the show when everyone is waving bye to the audience or whatever she's like "oh, I'm sorry! my band started playing the wrong song and I didn't know what to do so I did a ho down!"

i remember this Maudlin of the Well show at the Palladium in Worcester where Greg broke the strings on his guitar and didn't have a spare so, while the band played on, he RAN out of the auditorium, two blocks to his car, grabbed a new (strung) guitar, ran back onstage, grabbed the mike, and said, "Sorry, guys, my band broke my strings. so I just decided to do a hoe-down"

apparently Ashlee's prerecorded vocal track for the song she had previously sung started over the band's playing of the song they were SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYING. She had her microphone down by her waist.

Her people are trying to blame it on acid reflux.

I give her band alot of credit for maintaining their poise.
