i demoed a slide guitar part last night and while i did it as good as i could. i still feel it sounds very amteurish. anybody know any good slide guitar books or online lessons or stuff like that?
a friend of mine told me the key to slide is to keep vibrating it, so you don't notice small pitch variances too much. he also said he listened to a lot of older Rolling Stones and country stuff to really pick apart what other guitarists were doing.
i think part of me wants to do this to challenge myself. i honestly think i have improved my slide technique drastically since i was a kid trying it out for the first time, but i want to be more decent with it.
also if i had the time, i would LOVE to learn pedal steel.
