Boosh.

Shouldn't the plural of opus be opai or something?

Nope. Opuses is correct.

o⋅pus  [oh-puhs]
–noun, plural o⋅pus⋅es or, especially for 1, 2, o⋅pe⋅ra  [oh-per-uh, op-er-uh].
1. a musical composition.
2. one of the compositions of a composer, usually numbered according to the order of publication.
3. a literary work or composition, as a book: Have you read her latest opus? Abbreviation: op.

Ooooooh pick me!!!!!!!!!!!! I want one!!!!!! I listened to the track that was released early a couple times and I loved it I haven't returned to its awesomeness very often since I want the full effect of the CD quality! :kickass: Any thoughts about touring after its released?

Joel

i've got mine on pre-order. cain't wait to get it.
and i hope there will eventually be something that explains the songs in it, like with the rest of the albums. i bought the book, and as much as i loved the songs before: i love them even more.

i usually do when the meaning is explained. the next album i have to re listen to song-by song while reading the book: is: To Welcome The Fade

i don't have the first full length by the band, though. even before i knew of the book with the explinations of the lyrics, i had all the albums by the band that were out at that time, but i couldn't find Amid Its Hallowed Mirth anywhere placs i looked either didn't have it listed or it was out of stock.

anyway; i wanted to say how much i enjoy the band and i really enjoy the book. i'm glad i finally got it.

Any chance of debuting the t-shirt artwork for the pre-order? I know it was mentioned that The End needs to sign off on it first, but I'm holding off on the pre-order since I want to see what the shirt looks like first.

Paul,

Sorry. Forgot the dash in my initial post. If I'd meant any offense, I would've spelled it with two S's. Come on man ... me half ass a trolling?

we're all forgetting the most important question: if the commercial version is already finished why the fuck do we have to wait till July 7th for it to be released officially? you like torturing us, don't ya?

i'm being sarcastic (mostly) but i always wonder why the release dates for things such as movies (both theatrical & DVD, VHS, etc.) CDs, video games, etc. are always s far away to spite the fact the product is finished (nothing waiting to be added, printed, etc.)

like when you see movie previews (reguardless of if it's going to theature or DVD) most of the time they'r completly finished (or almost) when they show th preview for it... then you're like "yes, can't wait to see it" then they hit you with a release date that's at least 3 months away. the fuckers.

i was just curious if there is a particular insider info you can give us (generally) as to why this is? (of if you can: why with this CD inparticular) does it have something to do with like waiting for retaled merch. to come in or something? r perhaps there's some asshole out there who's job it is to look for the best possible day to release something-to possibly increase sales? or do the people who decide on release dates (who decides that, anyway?) really like to torture us through anticipation? (perhaps all 3 are part of the case?)

i've always been curious about this.. so, please don't take offense to what i said. it's just curiosity-and the first paragraph is intended to ask that same question, but in a humorous way.

anyway, thanks for the input, and i hope everyone has a great day

There's loads of reasons, really. You have to allow ample time for advertising to make an impact, you have to allow time for the product to ship, you have labels/distros who try to space out their releases accordingly so that they're not flooding the market with too much product or similar product at the same time, so on and so on......there's alot that goes on behind the scenes that's involved with the manufacturing/shipping/distributing/marketing and other details that are the reason why releases are put out at a certain time and there's a certain amount of wait involved. I mean for example, they usually like to have some reviews in the magazines and online for a while before the cd hits the street, in order to build up interest and anticipation for the product. We only just received our copies of the cd a bit over a week ago, so the idea that we got the cds barely a month before the official release isn't really that outlandish.

I definitely don't think any of it has to do with "torturing" people to have to wait! It's just that there's so much more involved than just "Band records cd, label presses it, send it to stores, put it on the shelves to sell". There's alot of business stuff that has to be done in between all of those stages that takes time.

I think people have just gotten so damned used to the immediacy of things today with the internet and the general speediness with which you can get your hands on things today, it feels like an eternity to some people when they're like "oh man you mean I gotta wait three more weeks???" Haha.

The bottom line is......will it be worth the wait once you finally get it? We hope the answer is yes :)
