I couldn't care less, I was just stating a CORRECTION that Mark is a Christian name, not a Jewish one.

well it just strikes me that people actually KNOW whether a name is jewish or christian (I'm not talking about the obvious ones like Ishmael or something...)

Well Mark was a saint, he's in the bible, therefore my name is christian.

Rachel is a name almost always associated with jews in this country; I have no idea if it's actually a jewish name.

but, the name " Mark " was invented before Christianity right? Thus, removing any link with the religion.

in the world right now, Mark is almost always derived from christianity

i wasn't around more than 2,007 years ago, so i can't really say
 
well ... Mark ... is probably latin ... like Marcus Aurelius ... which makes us ... like gay in some way
