After the Official In Flames forum left UM, a new unofficial one came up on HMAS. I was there quickly, and posted more than anyone else. within a few days I was a moderator, along with two others. a while later, along came a troll known as [sic]. wihtin a few hours he had near 100 posts, and the other 3 users on the forum at the time sent me PM's pissed off at him, and asked me to get rid of him. me and SN66 (one of the other mods) figured if others were pissed off, we should do something. we waited for the other mod and the admin, and we asked what they thought, and the final decision was to ban him. after this, Episode666 (resident old grumpy bitch) came on and staryted criticizing us and saying we were just waiting to ban someone and that he shouldn't have been banned. her nonsensical rambling managed to convince Reno (admin) that there should be a change in mods, saying that "there needs to be a change in moderators". Reno the nsaid he was clearing all the mods from the forum and assigning new ones. he offered the job to Emil Landin and Episode666. They both accepted. at the same time as this, Episode666 started saying lots of things she thought should happen. The sitckys are rearranged and changed to her satisfaction, Squeak was made a mod again (essentially just kicking me and SN66 out). Anything she says happens. She says [sic] should be unbanned because we scared him away. he is. less than a day later, he is banned again. Gums pointed this out, and after making a joke saying "Episode666 is whipping Reno", he is banned. around this time, Episode666 and Squeak are made admins. a while later, I made a joke by posting the now infamous "whipping picture", a picture of Reno, with Episode666's face in one corner with a whip betwee nthem and Gums popping in in another corner. At this point, I am banned and get an email telling me a bunch of shit about how Reno will not allow mods authority to be questioned (not that I was even doing that), I was there from October 25 to January 7. I had around 3000 posts. The Whole site at this point had around 15000-25000 posts (not sure). I was the top poster, and up until recently, only Eldzik had passed me in posts (WhoCar3s passed my mark in the past month or so). Around the start of July, my entire account was deleted, since the site could probably handle losing that many. A while back, maybe march, the In Flames Off Topic and Picture forums were "lost" in an update, along with many posts by Gums and I. WIth all my posts lost, the Vicious CirKill forum was reduced to around 50 posts, and 12 threads, 3 of them being Reno's worthless shit he posts on every forum. The Deotonation forum also lost many posts, around 500 (currently only at 1500 or so) from this. The In Flames On Topic Forum lost it's first 3 months of history along with this.
I'm not really concentrating on this anymore, but a few more things:
A while later [sic] went on the Dark Tranquillity board and started whining about htis. There Episode666 accused me of many things and said I was banned for flooding threads to hide something, and using the title "Forum God". I never flooded a thread to hide anything and I have no idea what she was talking about, and the title Forum God was a default from a large number of posts.
I went back there several times, not even trying to conceal my identity, twice to say something, and a bunch others to repsond to Reno directly addressing me. After a while, I just started being an asshole for fun. 10 actual bans, 37 additional deleted accounts
I also find this site a joke now. The webmaster is 24, working on an easy degree from a local community college, he begs for donations to the site because his job at a Dollar Store won't support the site, and he posts daily pictures to chronicle growing his hair long. He also won't drink beer that's made outside of Pittsburgh.
The constant staff changes. One admin when I arrived there. One Senior Staff member. Four general staff members. Two new admins that weren't there for even half a year. one of them dropped down to Senior Staff member, while the current SSM is kicked down to make room for someone who he has been there for 5 times as long as. another new admin. one site founder remains as a staff member, four others are staff members. none of the general staff members from when I was first there are left.
"I think maybe one more forum is enough and I'll stop expanding"
When I arrived there ther ewere a dozen forums or so. After expanding to 14 official forums and a dozen unofficial, in addition to at least 3 dozen general ones, he needs to cut down on them and conserve bandwidth, chop site access and features, etc. Now it's back up to a dozen unofficial forums, although the general forums are limited.
The notorious whipping picture. Had Reno just removed it and asked me to not do anything like that, I would have stopped and not shown it to anyone. As it is, everyone has seen it. I personally sent it to severeal dozen people upon request. I also posted it in several places on UM.
And a few exceprts from the email the day I was banned:
"Steve you're treading on thin ice with that last pic, Gums got canned perminently for the same shenanigans."
"You're now banned and just to prove how whipped I am..."
I thought he wasn't being whipped....
And his signature included:
