You guys are awesome for posting those demos on http://www.nightingale.cc! Seriously, I wish more bands did this. As a fan, it's simply awesome to hear demos like this. It doesn't matter that they may not be as good as the end product, or that they may never have made the album, it's still awesome to hear!

So, THANK YOU!! As a fan, thank you very much! :headbang:
 
I'm very pleased to see Dan's hosting of the radio show on there as well. That's awesome! It's so huge (almost 2.5 hours) that it's difficult to navigate through. (Like say, if you want to skip a song) Right now I'm listening to a song from "Asia." I notice that Dan doesn't introduce himself for the show! He just says "I'll be your host." I wanted to hear him say his own name, since I'm only 99% sure that I know how to pronounce "Swanö" Ah well, over the next week or so I'll be listening to this. Excellent. :)

Edit: At the 31 minute mark, just before Dan plays Dream Theater's "Surrounded" - he pronounces his name "Swano" just as it sounds phonetically in English. Interesting.
 
Haha, in the "Raincheck..." demo I believe Dan sings "suck my dick you rock-n-roll, never to try, you can do it A-to-M" or something similar around 1 minute into the song :D

Awesome lyrics guys, can't see why you didn't keep them for the final release!

In fact it´s me singing. You can always tell by the amount of sex words in the lyrics :)

That would be the "english" pronouncation, not how you say it in swedish.

Those lyrics have a tendency to reappear at rehearsals...

Yeah, I got that. We talked on this board long ago bout the issue, so I was "pretty sure" I knew the swedish pronounciation, though I've never heard anyone say it. I found it interesting to hear Dan use the "English" pronunciation, b/c I wasn't sure there was such a thing until now. I thought maybe all the folks here in the US just didn't know any better and/or were lazy. Hehe. I say this b/c many other non-English names in music are said in their native tongue here in the US. The only people I know who have heard of Dan where I live, though, are people who I personally turned into Swanö fans. :)
 
Glad you all dig the demos. I'm a huge fan of demos. I've always thought that the 1st pressing of every album should be 2 cds w/ the demos to match the album but that'll never happen.

A big thanks to Dag & Dan for the demos so I can post them, I wish more bands would let go of their demos for free posts.

There's a lot more in store for you all in the future!


PS: Look for Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb demo ... they are the worst Floyd lyrics I've EVER heard!!!!! Also Ozzy's "So Tired" is AWESOME, over all much better lyrics!

Awesome! I can't wait. It would seem that you and I think the same on this subject. I look forward to more demos.
