Just a quick 'hey' from a new member.
I'm a fan and player of many years' standing, but am having trouble finding the fresh and inventive contemporary metal I'm sure must be out there.

I can dig a lot of things from early Rainbow to present-day Meshuggah, but I tend to a be a bit picky - if something feels even slightly wrong, be it the atmosphere, musicianship or whatever, it's gone

Hoping to learn more by browsing this place and picking up some good advice.
