Hi

My name is Steve Rowe a subscriber from Australia. I have e- mailed you a
couple of times. I also subscribe to Clssic Rock magazine which course you
know is a UK Mag. It was great to read the big SAXON article in the new
Christmas 2001 issue but I was very disapointed with a few things in the
magazine. Firstly SAXON was not included in the 100 greatest Rock albums of
all time. What a joke! I have been listening to Heavy music since 1973 & I
have never heard of some stupid band called Angel. How can they include that
& not "WHEELS OF STEEL" or any SAXON album for that matter? Plus they also
made some jokes about Paul Quins wig. I thought it looked great. What about
poofter Paul Stanley & wanker Gene Simmons stupid wigs? Their review of the
"Rock & Roll Gypsies" album is typical wanky journalism which should not
happen in a classy Rock Magazine.

I am a;lso a fan of Maiden & Priest but feel that all their albums since
1990 have been just average but the SAXON albums of the 90's were all
excellent. Especially "Dogs of War" & "Killing Ground". SAXON'S history of
consistant excellent albums I think should have earned them a spot in the
Top 100. I would personally pick Wheels, Power & The Glory or Dogs.

I think the Oliver/ Dawson thing is so embarrasing for them. I would never
by one of their albums even though I am a fan of both players. Maybe a good
compromise would be the use of a SAXON song as a name? i.e CRUSADER or 747.
Maybe you could suggest this to Biff because any true SAXON fan would then
recognise the connection. I would definitly buy their album if they called
the band Crusader.

Just some ideas & thoughts.

A huge fan.

Steve Rowe.
