I don't think you'll find many HIM-fans on this board, unfortunately...
Personally I think Him is a very, VERY overrated band. A crappy band, to be blunt
But yay... Smaken är som Jugoslavien, delad as we say here in Sweden

I love goth-ish music, especially Type O Negative, Moonspell, Tristania, The 69 Eyes, Sentenced etc... However I found that HIM was gross, annoying and just generally repulsive "music"

I heard one track and the guitars were ok, but the vocals were horrible. I think they are overrated as well. There is another Finnish band that is a lot better that is very underrated. That being Rapture.

yepp, Rapture is just great, Entwine is also a very good finish band being underrated.
well, i like HIM's demo, dunno if someone have ever heard this stuff.

I heard a couple of HIM songs, sounded like a US alternative band dressed up as goth. there are many good goth rock/metal bands, Charon, to/Die/For and Fragile Hollow being three of the better ones.

HIM are very good pop/rock band. Their song possess unique catchiness. I don't get why you discuss HIM over here? Maybe one day Katatonia will sound the same who knows
