im in cubase 5 and just got done with all my edits and then i go to start mixing and my left guitar track stops playing completely. the meter still shows sound, as does the one in podfarm. but nothing is coming out. i have the two guitars routed to a group and theyve been working just fine in stereo all night but the left guy just stopped. its not muted. fader is good, volumes on all the pod and lecab stuff is just fine. it stopped as soon as i loaded a track preset on it. i dont feel like its something stupid and obvious i just overlooked but it could be. any suggestions?

i just rerouted it to the master out for the second time and it worked. then i rerouted it back to the ground and it stopped working again until i turned the group plugs on and off. wtfffff.

try turning the plugins off and on one at a time and see if it is specific to one plugin, if so save your settings in that plugin as a preset, reload the plugin and load your settings.

Is one of the plugs ferric TDS by any chance? If so I have this happen to me periodically and this pluin is ALWAYS to blame. Doing what I said seems to fix the issue.

Probably one of the plugins on the stereobus being a monoplug or something similar. Have had that happen more than once, and always slapped myself in the face after going "wtf!" for half an hour :D

nah, they are both labeled "q10 stereo" and "CLA-76 Stereo" and it fixed its self when i turned them off then on.

Turn that "60 Hz" analog noise emulation to OFF if it's not already the case ?

i always turn it off haha. i dont understand why its even there. this thing sounds warm as fuck on a guitar buss.

legit question. the SSL G Master Comp sounds nice on a mix but im not totally sure how to set up attack and release times for a whole mix.

I get this too with the CLA-76 sometimes. But I just turn it off/on then it doesn't happen for a week or so again.

As for the Master Comp. Go slowest attack (30?) fastest release (.1?), lowest ratio (2?), and then make the GR be 2-4dB. Should be a good starting point. Then try things out.
