Yeah seems to have some codec issues. So far I am disappoint. But I'll keep it around if I'm bored sometime and wanna mess with it.

Looks pretty powerful for a free program. I wonder if it can edit raw video from the 5d Mark II without having to encode it to another format like I do for FCP

They´re just some matrox codecs. I´ve read on their forums that the program is still in beta, so it´s working with a very short list of video codecs. I like where this is going, but I will wait until the final version comes out. Until then I will stick with Premiere and AfterFX : /

Nah. Lightworks is a very old system. The open source project is a new port.
