I never knew!

I've never been too much of a fan of American DM (aside from CC and Death duh) so I never bothered to check out MA all that close, but now I've started to run out of Swedish/European DM to blast so I decided to check out some of the "classic" american bands. And holy shit, Morbid Angel fucking rips. A bit to "all over the place" for my tastes, which is no suprise since I've been listening to dead simple Swedish DM for like 7 years now. So far my favorite album is Formulas, but that's just a first impression. Focken love the guitar tone on that one!

So, aside from MA, Suffocation and Autopsy, what other American DM bands have I missed out on in my northern elitism?

David Vincent did not do vocals on World Downfall, Oscar Garcia from Nausea was the Terrorizer vocalist. Essential album! More grind than death

Check out Malevolent Creation, Deicide (first 2 albums), Massacre (From Beyond) Suffocation, Immolation, Incantation.... basically any band that ends in -tion

Also, if you're into Carcass, check out Exhumed, Impaled and The County Medical Examiners. Some major Carcass worship going on there
