Slayer to tour with Iron Maiden and Judas Priest??? - March 11th, 2003

This is directly from BW&BK:

Despite denials and tight lips, rumors persist about a three headed tour, featuring IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST and SLAYER, for later this year. Booking agents in each market are soliciting different sized venues around the country. The size of the venue is said to be contingent upon whether or not Rob Halford is back in Priest for the tour.

*These are only rumors, so don't take this seriously. As more details become available I will post it here first thing.]

I wouldn't
hold my breath if I were you.
Who would close the show?
Priest? Only if they get the Heavy Metal Homo back on board.
Maiden to open for the Priest Cover band?! :p

Obviously the whole thing will fall through if Halford isn't there. *IF* this is true, it should signal to everyone that negotiations between the Tipton/Downing & Halford camps are serious.

It would be a great show. I've seen all the bands already, but would of course love to see them again. I'm mystified why everyone doesn't like the new Slayer. God Hates Us All fucking ruled my world. Brave New World was an excellent Maiden album--expect even better from their newest when released, especially if they keep Gers locked up in a closet while the album is recorded. And Priest--just needs the Metal God back. Halford's solo project was nice n' all, but.........it's time.
