They just posted the full track of Holy Wars... from the Megadeth remasters/remix albums coming out.

Sounds pretty cool, the drums sound WAY better, the guitars etc. sound pretty much the same, a little thicker though. I like it :headbang: Cant wait to hear the SFSGSW songs.

I really like the production on the original (the same as SFSGSW), so the remasters will either be even better and sound awesome, or wreck what was already good. I think the RIP remaster will sound better than the SFSGSW one though.

I always liked the drums on RIP, great sound.

There's some backing vocals on this new version that I don't remember from the original. I really hope Mustaine hasn't gone and added any new stuff to these remixed and remastered albums...

Why would it matter if he did though? You can still listen to the old ones if you want...

Remixing and remastering is fine. But if you start adding shit to the original recording you may as well rerecord the whole track.

Id say the backing vocals were just buried in the mix, the only song that had anything rerecorded on any of the remasters as far as I know was the vocals to Take No Prisoners as they lost the master tape that had the vocals on it :)

You're a strange one, Spawn - it's OK for Mustaine to change Megadeth albums but it's not OK for Lucas to change Star Wars movies?

No, I just said nothing was rerecorded except Take No Prisoners, so he changed nothing.

The guitars and so on are still all the same, its like putting a movie in digitally remastered sound. No big deal. They even did it to Star Wars before George "destroyer of dreams" Lucas fucked the movies completely.

That's fucking horrible if it's true! I can't be.
Take No Prisoners is my single favourite Megadeth track and I'll be more than pissed if the vocals are redone.

Yeah its true, the label lost the master tape to the vocals somehow, so Dave resang them, you never know, they might sound better now Sydo :) ;) :)

Why couldn't they just pull the original vocals from a CD? :err:

Set The World Afire is up there now, its a 10 meg file and it sounds awesome! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :worship:

I must respectfully disagree Sydo.

Blitzy, well... We already know you are out of your mind because you think SFSGSW sounds good as it is :) ;)
