I recently moved from a house to an apartment, so I have no chance of cranking up my amp to mic the guitars at home without pissing of the neighbours. You know me. I don't like to offend...

Have you ever used a POD style amp simulator or VST effect (Amplitude?)to get the sound you're looking for? Any suggestions for a piece of software or kit?

Barrett you kill me, that pic is awesome!!! To be honest, knowing you, your neighbours will be hating you in a few days anyway so I wouldn't worry about the noise, Pod's are ok if it's demo's your doing, if it's actual album stuff, record with something like a POD and also DI and re amp later. Not used amplitude.
