Hotels- Info, Room Wanted, Roommate Needed etc.

I have a reservation at the Marriott Midtown (that one on 14th next to the bagel shop) that may be available to be transferred if anyone still needs a room. It's $184/night rate for King & Sofa Bed (executive suite). This room is very nice and their current rate is $284 if you try to book now.

I am going to let my hotel room go soon. Its at the Grenada Suite and its a King with a kitchen for $139.00 a night from Wed to Sun. It can probably be traded for a two room with a kitchen as well...

E-mail me or send me a message and we will work out the details.

Yikes! These prices are like butter knives to my scalp...

but I know my options are severely limited. I currently have an opportunity for a shared cost that get's me at about $95 per night (with daily parking fee) which is still quite a bit above what i wanted to pay for, for sharing the room with others... but I may just bite the bullet and take it if I have nothing else goin for me.

heck, I'd sleep on the floor for half that price

I have a room at the Residence Inn Midtown which I'll be releasing this weekend. It is approx $190 / nt (gouging bastards).

PM me if you want to know exactly when I get around to putting it out there and I'll try and drop you an email.

I'd say a half-hour minimum, probably closer to 45 minutes. Other Atlanta folks, your thoughts?

You'd be much better off taking MARTA from the Peachtree Center station (it's close to the Marquis, one block to the west) up to the Arts Center station (right near the venue and across from the Best Western Granada).....but I figure you must know about that $1.75 option already.

Once again if anyone is canceling their SUITE with 2 REAL BEDS then let me know. I really wanted to stay in a suite that was semi close to the venue. If the person with the Hotel room also wants to give up/sell 2 Wed. Night tickets that would be great.

Just a FYI guys the Granada was overbooked by 20 rooms, Bears room didnt turn up as being avail.

I booked one at Glenn's new Hotel thread. But still willing to share a room with someone closer if avail.

I just cancelled a room at the Residence inn on Piedmont 404-239-0677. It is a 2 bedroom suite and it goes for about $200.00 a night.

That hotel is nowhere near the venue (it's about a 5-10 min. drive depending on traffic), but it's a really cool hotel. It's kinda like staying in your own apartment in an apartment complex. We got 'walked' there during The Katrina Debacle.

I did not mind the location and I liked what it had to offer, but, Edgeofthorns found use singles on the cheap.

Hi all - we had booked rooms at these two hotels not knowing who was staying where - I jsut released them if someone is looking for rooms close to the venue. Just cant justify the prices this year.
Good luck,
Jeff

SEEKING PLACE TO CRASH FOR WEDNESDAY NIGHT!

I guess this answers my question of our room being booked for Wednesday. Since that's not the case, I need a place to crash on Wed too! Anyone need an extra roomie for that day only? I can help pitch in for cost for the day, of course. I'm staying at the Res Inn so it would be preferable to stay there, but at this point I'm not picky.
