how are Sahara and beloved's cry?

I have Beloved's Cry, and to be honest, the production is terrible. I never gave it a thought, though- I love the sound of a solid demo, and this is it! Plus, three of its tracks are not repeated on Sahara, and it's just a must for any OL fan. I bought it in the summer in the Eilat mall while in Israel. It's short, but the demo version of "Seasons Unite" gets me every time.

Both of them are masterpieces!!! Personaly i don't mind the production because both albums speak directly to my heart...
tattooedsean666 don't forget to put in your list their "El Norra Alila" album. Another OL masterpiece that you'll regret not to listen too.

Sahara is darker, and maybe heavier than Mabool , its the least good O.L. album but it is still G-R-E-A-T. Many influences from Paradise lost, Rotting Christ and some Iron Maiden (in the melodic parts)in this one imo. The demo is probably in the same musical vein, more rough perhaps. It's sound and the folk aura remind me of Amorphis' "Tales From The Thousand Lakes" a little bit. I recommend both of them.
But as others said get "El Norra Alila" first - my favourite O.L. album !

I should agree with Dreamcell and I think the production of Beloved's Cry is not that bad.Honestly I cannot give up any of their albums.I think all of them are great.Their quality has never dropped, always went up.A Very unique and special band to me.

You will find that no matter which album you listen to- there are so many layers in the music. So much more than you can hear from first listening to it. Try to find out about the meaning of the songs and they become even more interesting.
-sigh- I would not be able to choose between any of them. But- I think Mabool is THE masterpiece that tops them all.
Now I am begining to get very curious as to know how they are thinking of ever being able to top this one. I talked to Matti and Eden about it and they said that they are confident that they can.
WOW- than it will surely be an experience that we have waiting for us!!!! :OMG:

BTW I told Matti that I will marry him if they come up with an even better album than Mabool. Don't know if that is an actual positive addition to/ influence on the creative process??? :err:
