how do i render a track in reaper with the metronome on?

I need to render some tracks with the metronome on....how do I do it?

Whenever I render.....there is no metronome. But when I play it in Reaper....the metronome works fine.

But what if I already got everything mapped out.....I just did a clicktrack project for a band.....and i need to output it to CD with the metronome on it.

ok.....that kinda works.....but I've done some different time changes and edited alot of 1/4 and 2/4 times and changed the volume of primary and secondary beats. The click source doesn't change the primary and secondary volumes.

You'll have to do some funky routing: (about 8 posts down)

But if you just want to change the volumes of the clicks, then you could simply right-click on the metronome icon and modify the metronome settings.

Clicksource works..... but it doesn't not apply the volume changes or beat frequency changes I make in metronome settings.

why the hell not? that is soooo stupid.

If it's so complicated why don't you just route your output to an input be it via the software mixer of your interface or with a cable?

Hehe, you can always record the actual sound and run it back and have a wave-file instead... sort of like a "manual" rendering

i've been using Reaper for a while now and its pretty badass.....except for this one problem!

It should be one button that I have to press to allow it to totally output the metronome and all its settings during rendering.

Someone please send that to the development team!!!!

Yeah, besides the goddamn bar in midi editing, the metronome is the suckiest thing in Reaper. The stock sound is ASS and the metronome itself is shitty too, it seems to mess up all the precounts etc.

If this were me I'd just record the metronome by putting a cable from the output into the input of the interface. Sure its real time but does the job plus you have a visual track to work with for editing purposes later on
