How do plugin management

Any tips on logically organizing plugz?

I break my plug ins down into two sections:
1) Used Often/favorites
2) Others

And within those, I organize them by purpose.

I guess it's all for preference. I like the idea of organizing them so that they're more quickly accessible.

yeah me to, but to be honest, if I use a plug I use it all the time. So I've taken all the plugs I rarely use and put them in the unused folder.

Thats a pretty good idea i normally just browse every time i need a plugin. but having organised like this must make it easier!

I don't use that many plugins really so that isn't a problem for me. Perhaps 10 differen plugins/session. So i keep those i don't use not installed so i got a shit ton of plugins in my folders.

But... it would be awesome if they could make the user add its own plugin folder in PT

If you go to "Setup - Preferences - Display" you can set the "Organize Plug-In Menus By:" to show both Category & Manufacturer.

This helps to see all the Compressors, EQs etc all together but also search by Waves, Digi, etc as well.

I know it's not exactly what you were hoping for, but it does help to find elusive plugins if you have a lot installed.

I would like to have the ability to sort plugins by manufacturer>category in logic and cubase. Would be great.
