mac os x vst plugin question (osx freeware?!)

hi!

i'm new to mac now, and i wonder if i can use my old freeware dll plugins on the mac some how. i found out that most of my favorite freeware is not available for mac...

reaper plugz, antares free pack, voxengo span... and so on... or can anyone recommend me some freeware for mac?

btw, i'm using cubase 5

unfortunately there is no way to get windows VSTs working in OS X..

you'll need to find all new plugins! i'll start you off with a reverb plugin, as i'm not sure if C5 OS X has one..

Cubase 5 has fucking awesome stock reverb plugins, and it's own impulse verb/loader. The only DAW-included reverb I like better is Space Designer.

oh.. it's just CS4 has reverb plugins in windows, and not in OS X, for some reason!

Huh? I have reverb in my copy of Studio 4 on OSX 10.5 here... it's called RoomWorks? I think there was a thing with the update that took out RoomWorks though, go to Cubase.net and look for it, they explain the quick and super easy fix for that. Although I don't remember having to do it in the first place when I updated.. I dunno, worth a try!

I'm currently just using M7 impulses and LAConvolver. The M7 impulses are pretty damn good, I haven't found any favourites yet.

actually i like the stock verbs on cb5.

but i'm looking for:

spectral analyzer, like span.
tape/tube saturation
compressors of all kinds
4 band multi c4 clone (like reaxcomp)
