Alright so my current track has some crazy octave harmonized guitars. Like this track

Anyhow. How do I deal with this or what would you do? I need it to sound fat but harmonized. Should I pan the lows left and highs right or double track both and pan both high and low guitars left and right. I just can't seem to get it to work.

I like how left, higher harmony right. Don't mix different parts on the same side for these kinds of things IMO; for leads that's one thing but octave parts are to add depth (generally), so panning to the same area defeats the purpose.

I also process differently from normal rhythms; more low end filtered off, more compression, delay/verb. Treat similarly to lead gtrs/vocals.

Even treat the lows with verb/delay and more low end filtering? Or are you just talking about the harmony?
