How do you guys feel about the Audix i5 for gutiars?

Since the 57 is already pretty emphasized on the mids as are my amps (very marshall like) I'm thinking the i5 might be a good alternative?

From clips, the i5 sounds more full but the high end isn't as defined. Or maybe I should pull the transformer out of a 57.

Cheaper to pull the tranny out of the 57. I've been meaning to do this myself...

I like i5's . Most of the Impulses I use are i5 miked

I find it to be kind of a "dense" sounding pickup, if you will - stick with a 57, I'm planning on selling mine soon to put towards a 421
