How does this sound?

well, i really like it because of the huge amount of overheads in there!
gets a rougher feeling.

my point is the snare - it doesn't fit in the place, where it's at!
i like this hard compression, but the sound of the snare isn't the best and now you really hear it.
the snare seems a bit boxy and maybe too much in the 200 hz region.
what about the verb? - did you compress it to the snare through a same bus - cause that is what helps me a lot to get in the right place for the snare!!

my 2 cents

cheers,

alex

I here you man... this was my worry too.. couldn't fit the damn thing in!
i got 2 verbs on it.. one on the snare insert and one on a send.
and i got the snare and kick on one bus that i'm compressing, but i'll compressing after the verb... see how it sounds! thanks!

my signal path is:

snare mic (already a bit compressed and eqed) and snare trigger go into one bus
- some more procession if needed (for example transients) and this goes into another bus where the verb(from another bus triggered by sends)+ the snare end and they get compressed, so that they are more a unit!
this bus with snare and the verb goes into my drumbus with the last multiband compressor and limiter!!

give it a try - you have total conrol over every single track and the mixes referring to each other!:headbang:

Heavy but lik otehrs said the snare sound isnt quite there it seems like its competing to much with th ekick sound i would recomend a higher end snare sound (eq wise) drop ur lows and ull get a nice attackyish sound great crack raise mids drop the lows nice crack

Hey, i never heard that second part!

That sounds better then the first part, if you ask me...
I think the snare (original eh?) should be looked at... like everyone said allready.

Big pluspoints are the guitars and that thick bass!

I like it...

Yo dude,....i don't think it's that annoying man,...all your sounds are good! RAW!!! That's nice,....

Question: What kinda toms/kicks/snare samples did you use for triggering? I need a couple of those "dirty" m#th#rf#ck#rs.....wanna share??

wow dudes! thanks alot!
yeah, i was listening too it through some small speakers yesterday at a girlfriends place and the snare indeed has a pretty anoying bumb in the mids which sets it lose from the rest! for some reason it was less obvious on my alesis! thanks for pointing that out.
maybe overheads alittle lower? thats the rawness in the drums realy. i just don't know yet if i like or dislike that! haha..

well... back too the drawing board then!
