Drumkit From Hell Superior sound test. How's this sound?

I've been messing around with BFD and Drumkit from Hell Superior a lot lately and I just can't get BFD to sit well at all. On the other hand, I think I like the drum sounds I'm getting with the Pearl 3 snare and Premiere kick in DFHS. Here's a little clip. How does it sound?

Hve you turned the kick off/down in the room mics? sounds really clean.

Question: is Sonar = Sonor or is it something different? The term "Sonar" keeps popping up and I am wondering if I am missing something or if it is just consistently misspelled?

Thanks! Actually, its the opposite. I exported a track with the ambient mics that have only the kick, snare and toms (no cymbals). That track is very compressed for sustain and brought way up in the mix. The close mics are compressed for attack. Its like invisible compression, I guess. Most of the meat in the drums is coming from the ambient mics. Then I reexported the ambient mics with the cymbals only and added that to another track.

Unlimited Bandwidth, 500MB of File hosting space, 10MB per file max size. 200+k/sec

************* is cool too, same but 50MB max size. It's usually slower though, for me anyways.

Yeah, I squashed them up pretty good so they're consistent once all the guitars and bass come in.

Sonor = a drum maker
Sonar = a DAW app, like Cubase etc
