I've only gotten very serious about it in the past year or so. I was always so discouraged by bad results that I didn't take it seriously...once things clicked and I started getting decent sounding stuff it just took off from there.
My first recordings are hillarious.

Own demos since the mid 80's
1st (home recorded) radio spot late 80's

1st "official" recorded/engineered/mixed/produced (non metal) CD late '90's (prof mastered, the guy said we did pretty good heheh)

Yesterday: almost got a good print of a great guit tone, but I was mistaken heheh

I've been recording shit since like 2002 or so, but never really got serious with it until 2004 or so, i think i'll get even more serious with it when i get the money to buy some monitor's.
