I'm thinking about building computers to make a little bit of money on the side, but it seems that it might not be so profitable.

I wanna know honestly how much you would pay for this system...

Kingwin Mutant X Silver Gaming Case
420 watt power supply
Athlon 64 3400+ Processor
1 GB Corsair PC3200 DDR400 RAM
200 GB Seagate Barracuda HDD
Nvidia GeForce 6600GT 128MB Video Card
16X Dual Format/ Double Density DVD+/-RW

Let me know. Thanks..

and then once there was aliens in my house and it was like, ey can i have tree fitty and it was really just the lochness monster dressed up as an alien!

I built my computer, it was easier than i thought.

Enermax Case
P4 3.2 Ghz
ECS 848P 2.0 MoBo
512 Ram
Seagate 120 GB
Maxtor 60 GB
SB Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Soundcard
ATI 9800 Pro
Samsung DVD rom
Lite on CDRW
MGE 500 Watt PSU
some circulation fans.

Nobody answered my fucking question. Haha. Fuck all you motherfuckers.

Bob, is it just me or does the 9800 Pro suck? I have one in this computer, then my other computer has a 9600XT and that one totally kicks its ass.

@Taliesin

Sorry, didn't notice your post, the only one that answered the question seriously. Yea, 750 Euros is about what I am planning to charge for something like that.

it's pretty good. A lot of the british gamers on SOT have it, and they all recommended it to.

Didnt the 9600XT come out over half a year later than the 9800 Pro? Does it support another shader generation than the 9800 Pro? Anyway, I have a 9800 Pro and Im quite satisfied, although I plan on buying a new one in.. maybe a year or so. It's the weakest link in my system ;)

I have no idea if the 750 are actually accurate, I bought my system a year ago.. I have:

Caseking Tower 1018 black
BeQuiet 350W Power Supply
AMD 64 3000+
2x512mb Ram CL2.5
MSI Neo FIS2R
Radeon 9800 Pro
5 additional fans

From my old computer I still had a DVD burnern, DVD drive and HDDs. I paid 800 Euros for all of it

My system now:

Athlon 64 3200+
1.5 GB PC3200 RAM
160 GB 7200RPM IDE HDD
Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB

My other computer:
Athlon 64 3200+
512 MB PC3200 RAM
200 GB 7200RPM SATA HDD
Radeon 9600XT 256MB

The one with the XT and the SATA runs 300% smoother on Doom 3 and other high end games.
