How to correctly wind instrument cables?

I wish cables had rolling instructions printed on the tags and such that they're sold with. I get sick of dealing with shitrolled cables.

I grab one end of the cable in my hand, bend my arm at 90 degrees, and wrap the cable around my arm from my thumb to the elbow, kind of like how you roll up a vaccum cord. Works well for me, and it's fast.

Thats exactly how not to do it.

Oh yeah Ben Johnson has a point. Go buy a brand new garden hose unwind it strait, leave it for 20 mins then wind it back up...

It will only wind up well one way, this is how you wind cables.
