how to create a certain sound

hey guys. i was going back and listening to a DBT record from a few years back and a certain sound intrigued me and i was wondering if any of you guys could help me achieve it. sound and melody comes in at 12 seconds. sounds like it could be in the blade runner soundtrack.


so any help on how to get this sound would be appreciated whether it be from a synth (most likely) or instrument (they might of gotten it through pedal steel)

do you mean the glockenspiel like sound?

I'd rent a glockenspiel and then slap reverb and delays on it to get something similar.

yea i guess it does sound like a glock. almost like its sampled from an old record. i guess ill have to play around.

and ben, thats pretty close. id try out your preset if i had FM8
