Okay some im working on this song which includes a clean intro then the song comes in but in between the band wants to include some reverse effect. Now my question anyone know how to create some cool effects, any ideas. We dont really have a specific sound that were after but the guys gave me this example.

Any cool tricks or ideas to achieve these effects let me know, maybe some sort of synth? We just want the effect to "open" up in a dramatic way for the main song :Smokedev:

I think ud have to get ur tracks onto vinyl and then play it backwards to get some sort of reverse effect.

I usually just take a short clip of a cymbal of or something similar, cut off the transient and reverse it in my DAW. In Reaper just right click the clip -> item properties -> reverse take. I know Cubase has a similar feature too.

Yea i was thinking of reversing cymbals wit some reverb too... But i though maybe there was some other unique way of producing this effect wit other things... Anyways tHanks for input guys

Piano sent into delay and reverb (see pic) then both tracks are printed to a stereo audio track and reversed.
I love this sound, works great with a sustained bass note or cymbals too.

Well, it, umm... fits great in the mix?

But seriously, sounds cool. Mind posting a clip with the part it is in?

this actually sounds like a (lp) filter over white/pink noise + variable speed change (up). you can also do a volume automation right before the 1... (16th or 32nd note increase at 2db).

it's humorous that we still look back on records that were made 23 years ago and say... "how'd they do that?" LOL
