in an apartment?

I've been doing a lot of research, and since I am in a fairly large room it appears that the biggest problem area for my room may indeed by the first reflection point located on my ceiling. I live in an apartment, and I don't want to ruin the place, and I REALLY don't want anything falling out at an inopportune (ie any) time.

Any ideas?

in the crafts area in walmart they have these pins that apparently quilters use. They're like a thumb-tack but way longer and look like a little "T". I've never used anything else to fasten auralex. Just like big push pins basically.

EDIT 2: Fixt.

Depends what you're attaching to the ceiling? Will it be foam or rockwool? Will it have a frame? Ie- how heavy?

I haven't actually made the panels yet, but if I am hanging it it will probably not be in a frame -- unless I can make something really light that would be suitable. It's just foam that I am planning on currently. Specifically Ultratouch insulation.
