How to improve my guitar tone?

Hey guys!

I was messing with my guitar tone over, and over again. The ampsim is the TSE X30 with some impulses. Clip was recorded with RG2228:

It would be really great if you could post some advice on what to improve in the mix.

do you have a bass guitar in the clip or what is that booming sound?

For bass there is a VST plugin... Should I cut off some of the low frequencies?

no, you just should make it sound better. I suggest either ghettobass (pitchshifted guitar) or a real bass guitar

OK, I will try something else for bass. What about a guitar tone? What would you improve? I'm wondering, whether guitars have enough low frequencies... Or maybe the good sounding bass will be enough?

guitars should always be cut 80Hz and below.
they could use more from the 100-180 Hz range.
be cautious when touching the 200-500Hz zone, it will either sound very nice or very bad.
less around the 700-1500Hz.

Hey man....sounds pretty decent. What are you using for drums and what DAW you using??? Just curious. I actually liek the guitar tone....might as well tell me what you're using for that cause I'm gonna ask sooner or later

Thanks! Drums - S2.0 for cymbals, snare and kick - free samples from the web. Doubled guitars with TSE X30 and some compression & EQ. I'm using Cubase.
