How to reset up my guitar if i change to Heavyier guitar string ??

I heard many people said ..
if change heavier string.. you need to resetup the guitar ..
if not .. the neck will be crooked..
is that ture ?
my guitar is a fixed bridge.. my guitar is LTD V-401
i really want to find out ...

What gauge strings are you currently playing and what gauge string are you wanting to change to?

Yes, there can be a little bit of bowing to the neck because of the different tension with heavier strings, an adjustment of the truss rod is probably needed. With that the tension is a lot at the saddle/bridge of the guitar, so your action and intonation will be off as well, all very easy fixes but if you've never done it before make get in touch with an experienced friend, or a professional can do it, usually for fairly cheap, and they can give you some tips and explain how to do it properly.
