How to use TRIGGER live?

how would i go about this guys? should i just need a laptop with a small interface, as i have a lot of really good kick samples mainly the LSD one
s and id rather not have to buy say a DM5 for example....

.how would you guys go about this and have any of you succeeded with it?

Give it more than an hour man!

You could do it but it'd be a big PITA compared to a module. You'd need the trigger, an interface and DI, and the laptop. Trigger to interface run at the lowest buffer setting possible, trigger running in live mode and monitoring through what you'd send to the FoH feed.

It'd be way easier to get one of the newer trigger brains that let you load your own samples into them and just deal with a little 2U rack and a trigger every night, not worry about latency or laptops going down.

What Jeff said. Relying on a laptop is just asking for trouble in a live situation. Keep an eye on ebay and you should be able to get a decent module for not too much money. Afraid I don't know which ones let you upload your own samples though.

The DM-Pro is discontinued but is the only one besides expensive Yamaha units that does it, AFAIK.
