How would you rate the recording quality out of 10?

Not sure what I would rate it. But that wouldn't be very helpful anyway now would it. Either the bass is so low it's inaudible, or there isnt a bass at all. Either way it's non existent. So get on that first of all. The drums lack punch. Compress the snare and kick harder or try some parallel compression. Do whatever you gotta do to thicken them up and get them pounding. Oh and humanize them. Vary the velocities and what not. I also use little tricks like randomly moving occasional hits a microscopic distance off of perfect, so that it doesn't sound like a robot is behind the kit. Don't make it sound like its off time or anything but yeahhhhh. The velocity thing is more important. Use that last suggestion very very lightly. Just some ideas you can try.
